In this episode, we talk with Antoniya and Daan from De Sering, a community kitchen and public space that has become a landmark in Amsterdam for its delicious meals, experimental accessible gastronomy, and vibrant programming. With meals starting from a donation of €2.50, available seven days a week, De Sering stands as an exemplar of accessible dining and community building.

On Friday 19th of June we released ‘Inter // Esse’, a six track EP by Amsterdam based Wilco Prinsen. This EP is not only the debut release by Wilco but also the first release of Anderworld Records, our cooperative, post-capitalistic record label.
This debut release is the first document of Wilco Prinsen’s explorations with the modular synthesizer and is based on both live and studio recordings from the period 2017 - 2025. This period was a transformative one, moving from indie band territory towards the domain of electronica, driven by curiosity and attracted by freedom in sound and composition. The transition was never clean, and that unresolved tension is precisely what moves him as a musician and what this release attempts to document.

See all projectsFrom the 1st of February 2023 Amsterdam Alternative is running the cinema + bar on the second floor of the OT301. The spaces are being used for film & documentary screenings, discussion nights, comedy, music, dance performances, workshops, book launches, podcast recordings and more.
Anderworld is a record label founded in 2026 by Amsterdam Alternative. Not a traditional, hierarchical label, but a cooperative, post-capitalist initiative focused on music, research, and experimentation. Alongside joy and creativity, we stand for collective ownership models, community meaning, hope, and radical imagination.
Sometimes, you sense it. A gesture, a sound, something pulses quietly beneath the surface of the city. A story waiting to be heard. Rad-Ish is a podcast about the silent dreamers, everyday radicals and hidden dissenters who keep the city alive. We seek out the voices of the underground, the pillars of movements that often go unseen yet build the foundation for collective spaces and a desirable future for the many, not the few. On a regular basis we release a short episode where we pull that little red thread that runs through Amsterdam, from the people directly shaping alternative culture to those nurturing it in the background. We're here to pay attention to those who resist the obvious, and talk to those who quietly practice other ways of being.
This modular web documentary is intended as an inspirational document, a guide and an archive. It is a compilation of stories about and quests for other ways in which we can shape society. We (and many others with us) are convinced that things really can be done differently and that a different view of ownership can play a major role in this.

See all photographyFrom July 25 to August 8 2026, Amsterdam proudly hosts the global WorldPride celebration for the first time. On Saturday 25th Elise photographed at the Pride Park in the Vondelpark, the endpoint of the Pride Walk, where the WorldPride Amsterdam was officially opened.
"My thoughts go out to Berlin, where on the same day, the LGBTQIA+ community got attacked at the Pride March. Times like this shows us even more how important it is to celebrate, support and stand up for love, freedom and safety."

The release party was held at the OT301 with live sets by Wilco Prinsen, Mathilde Nobel and Bastian Benjamin and DJ sets by Zohar and oernaut.

On Thursday 14th of May the anual Ascension day (Hemelvaart) event took place at Rijkshemelvaart again. Always a great day with music, food, drinks and lots of friendly people.

Amsterdam Alternative started as a network of solidarity and free newspaper but we’ve alwys had the ambition to create inspiring videos as well. In 2024 we created and published about 50 hrs of video about collective ownership, in 2025 we started a new video department called Fragmenta.
